Manchester-born Anna Friel has been acting professionally since the age of 13. Since getting her break in ‘Brookside’ (1992), Anna has appeared in a huge number of British and American films and television programmes in a career spanning over 25 years.

Having made her film debut in ‘The Land Girls’ (1998), Anna has enjoyed a prolific career, appearing in many high-profile films such as ‘Sunset Strip’ (2000), ‘Goal!’ (2005) and ‘Limitless’ (2011).

She has appeared on television in productions such as ‘The Jury’ (2004), ‘Odyssey’ (2015), and ‘The Girlfriend Experience’ (2017), as well as starring in ‘Marcella’.

She has won several notable accolades, including an Emmy, a Drama Desk Award, a National Television Award, a BAFTA, and a Golden Globe amongst others. She has also appeared in advertising campaigns for Reebok, Mulberry, and Marks and Spencer.

In 2018, Anna starred in ITV’s ‘Butterfly’, a series she also produced. Anna also featured in ‘Deep Water’ in 2019 and is currently working on a film titled ‘Margery Booth: The Spy in the Eagle’s Nest’.

Anna was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution To Film and TV award at The Irish Post Awards in November 2019. More recently she appeared alongside Susan Sarandon and Beth Ditto in Fox’s ‘Monarch’ (2022).
